Fellowship Curriculum

Core Curriculum

Fellows are expected to engage in scholarly activities to meet the requirements for certification by the Neonatal Perinatal Sub-Board of the American Board of Pediatrics. As part of the scholarly activities, fellows are required to complete the following:

  • QI Scholarly Work Product (basic, clinical, QI, or translational research with a first authored manuscript submitted for publication)
  • Graduate Level Course in Physiology

Didactics

There are regularly scheduled weekly and monthly conferences.

Research

A successful research-training program requires a fertile and supportive research environment and a clear set of guidelines and expectations.

POCUS

Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) curriculum.

Clinical

Fellows will have 13 one-month rotations on the NICU clinical service during the three year fellowship.
