Q: Why did you pursue a residency/fellowship at UK?

The X站福利所鈥檚 Salvation Army Clinic is a student-run, free clinic that serves as a learning environment for medical, pharmacy, and social work students while providing acute onsite health care for uninsured patients at the Salvation Army of Central Kentucky.

She studies cardiovascular disease and strives to raise awareness about preventative measures and treatments by helping organize the college鈥檚 annual Healthy Hearts for Women Symposium.

Trauma reactions (i.e., emotional trauma) can show up in many stages of a child鈥檚 experience at the doctor鈥檚 office or hospital. These reactions may present when the child is emotionally scarred by an invasive surgery or painful physical therapy. They may occur when a child struggles with port access or needle sticks and has to be held down to receive life-saving treatments.

Q: What inspired you to go into medicine? 

Madison Campbell, MD

Madison Campbell, MD, was part of the UK X站福利所-Bowling Green Campus's inaugural graduating class. She is now a first-year resident in obstetrics and gynecology at Med Center Health, a regional health system that partnered with the college to establish its regional campus.

Q: Why did you want to pursue your residency at Med Center Health?

Fortunately for doctors and patients, advancements in medicine and health care have led to fewer medical emergencies; however, for anesthesiologists in training, this also means a reduced number of cases that help them develop proficiency in their field.

Aric Johnson, MBBS, helps residents and fellows fulfill that necessary experience through advanced simulation training.
